TV: they’re showing a star-studded ‘musical’ event, featuring Justin Bieber.
All I can hear (not watching!) is a continuous scream, bordering now on hysteria, now on ecstasy.
Think to myself: ‘Very sad gathering! THAT sort of applause…’
Despair beyond words… and sense of uselessness.
On the cusp of ‘ripe’ age though, I’ve developed the instinct of disgust towards such sentiments – manna in adolescence.
So I start thinking: ‘Not much of a difference to ‘cultured’ events.
Same cannonades of spasmodic scream, only very ably disguised and dimmed by the contaminating phraseologies of the various cliques.’
Where is the decency of applause?
